Merry Christmas!

A couple of weeks ago I explained that I love to give out Christmas cards, but we are poor. This is how I make it happen:
Free offers from FANTASTIC
websites called Shutterfly and Tiny Prints.

I make an effort to always take our family picture by October. Honestly if I did it in August I could probably get more freebies. But I got a couple different sets of free card samples via my email. This one was my favorite.

please imagine yourself opening this
 and experiencing the following:

This year was an awesome year for the McKies! Colter turned one and, while he doesn't have a paying job yet...he is pretty smart and does a good job growing and being the center of our universe. He has a best friend named Donny that he talks about constantly. We think he has a crush on Rapunzel, because he LOVES the movie. He is a good kid, and we are lucky to have him.

Jack got into Medical School several places, and it is a blessing that we were able to choose which school we wanted to go to the most. He attends A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. As for what specific direction of Doctor he would like to be, it's still up in the air. Luckily, he will have the chance to try things out before deciding. We love it here! He was also awarded a full ride scholarship through the Air Force to become a Doctor. In return we do have a commitment to the Military, 4 years of active duty and 4 years of being on reserve. Jack is a commissioned officer, and got to attend training for a month before coming to school. He was meant to be in the military, he just fits the part.

I am blessed to be able to stay home with Colter. It is awesome to be the person who will raise my child. The medical school has an organization for the significant others of the students, which I am an active part of. I work with another girl named Stacy hosting Children's Social events over the year. I also get to come to interview days for possible students for the next year and meet with the guests that may have come with them. Sometimes there are spouses, or parents. I answer all of their questions they may have about moving, the school the town etc. I got to step in as a co-director for the Miss Western Idaho Pageant before we moved out the Missouri. It was a fun experience to be back in the pageant scene, and it was worth all the hard work.

Heavenly Father blesses our little family with so much, we are spoiled. We are grateful for Christ and His atonement for each of us, and being able to celebrate His birth brings us such happiness. We are especially reminded this Christmas season of the blessing of eternal families, and how we know we will be with our boys, Colter and our precious twins waiting in Heaven, forever.

                                                                                    Love,
                       The McKies

Here is the deal. I love their designs. LOVE THEM. When we have money enough after this whole medical school financial drain, I have every intention of ordering my cards via these websites. Then everyone will get something truly magical in their mail. Magical because of how pretty it is.

Merry Christmas!
